I love refashioning and repurposing jeans. We all have jeans and when they become unusable for one reason or another, the fabric is wonderful for using in so many ways. I love the different shades of blue and the fraying of unfinished denim edges. But …
It’s funny how we can get super attached to an article of clothing, isn’t it? Sometimes you know that you can’t wear it anymore, but you just can’t bear to get rid of it. This was the case with my son and his banana sweatshirt. …
Mermaids, unicorns, rainbows… these protagonists of fun fantasy are all the rage these days, especially if they have glitter and shine! So when asked for a guest post for the website Fleece Fun, I decided to share my FREE doll mermaid costume sewing pattern that I’ve …
The other day my kids and I put up our Christmas tree. Something about it still gets me excited every year. I love looking at all our ornaments, as we remember people who gave them to us or when we made them. And a twinkling …
What is it about snow that is so magical?! Is it the soft ting of cold as it hits your skin? Or the bright twinkle snowflakes make in the sun? The muted sounds right after snow has fallen? The sensation of catching frozen bits of water …
Last year I spent many agonizing months suffering through acute anxiety disorder and recurring panic attacks. It was a really, really bad time for me, and one part of my path to healing was communicating with people more and connecting with them on a deeper …
