Guys, I can’t deny it; I’m leggings-obsessed. I love leggings so, SO much, as does my daughter and over the past few months I’ve been working my tail off to create the best leggings sewing patterns for girls and women. And today I’m thrilled to officially anounce to you my new leggings patterns: the Simple Leggings for girls and women, and the Hyacinth Moto Leggings for girls and women. Oh, and I’m also offering a limited time 20% discount! (details at the bottom of this post)
The best leggings sewing patterns: Simple Leggings
Let’s start with the Simple Leggings. This pattern lets you choose high or low waist and one of three leg lengths. There’s full-length:
… 3/4 mid-calf length (aka capri, pedal pushers, or however you call them):
The full-length leggings are perfect for most of the year, but even on cool summer evenings. I love to layer them under dresses, skirts, or shorts, but you can also wear them as-is with a shirt or tunic.
Mid-length are great in warmer months and I am just LOVING my short shorts leggings now that we’re in the typical Southern Italian hot and humid summer. I pretty much live in this length leggings with a tank top when I’m at home.
I created this pattern in two versions: for girls, ages 2-14…
… and for women, sizes 0-18. Choose your size according to the charts. If you don’t fall neatly into one size’s measurements, go by your hip width. The pattern instructions show how to lengthen or shorten the leg length as necessary.
And to make the best leggings sewing patterns even better, of course I’m also offering a Simple Leggings Pattern bundle, which includes both girls’ AND women’s sizes at a fraction of the cost! Get them here!
The best leggings sewing patterns: Hyacinth Moto Leggings
The Simple Leggings are, as the name states, simple. They’re perfect for beginners or for sewists using stretchy knit fabrics for the first time. Intermediate and advanced sewists who are ready for a more interesting project will just LOVE the Hyacinth Moto Leggings.
This is one of the best leggings sewing patterns for moto leggings, which are super trendy and fashion forward these days. You’ve seen them: moto jeans, moto pants, moto leggings.
The Cucicucicoo Hyacinth pattern offers two views. View A features the ridged thigh patch typical of moto jeans and leggings. But, because I love having options, View B has a simple thigh insert that you can sew with a contrast color or printed fabric.
The Hyacinth Moto Leggings also have options for high or low waist, as well as two lengths. There’s full length:
The Hyacinth Leggings are also available for both women and girls, with the same sizing as the Simple Leggings. You can lengthen or shorten the legs, too.
Those knee patches are so fun! Here I made contrast thighs AND knees!
I know there are a lot of sewists out there who want to make these very cool moto leggings for themselves AND their daughters, so there’s also the Hyacinth Moto Leggings Pattern Bundle, again, with both girls’ AND women’s sizes at a fraction of the cost! Get them here!
