I love the summer and I love hot weather… but I hate humidity. I hate sticky skin that mosquitos get stuck on. I hate that sluggish feeling that doesn’t let you do anything. I hate air conditioning. And there’s nothing I hate more than being stuck at home when it’s hot out. Every summer I try to find new ways to beat the summer heat.
I figure I’m not alone, so I’d like to present my new short series: Cucicucicoo’s Guide to Beating the Summer Heat!
I’d actually been thinking about making this series for quite a while now and started preparing some of the tutorials over the past few summers, so get ready for some pretty old pictures, some of which have considerably younger versions of my kids in them!
Because what do you do when it’s hot, but you live too far away from a beach, pond or river to go swimming?
And you can go to air-conditioned Ikea only so many times….
What do you do? Close yourself up in your home, peel all your sticky clothes off of you and sit in front of the AC?
No, oh no! Even if you’re stuck at home, there are a few things that you can do to stay cool. Over the next month or so, I’ll be sharing some of my family’s favorite boiling hot weather home activities and refreshments. So bookmark this page (or Pin it here), because I’ll be adding the links right below here!
What do you do to beat the summer heat at home? I’d love to hear about it, whether it’s with or without kids, so leave a comment below and tell me all about it!
